Every Sonthuy Academy course is delivered by trained Sonthuy staff and overseen by founder Son, held to the standard she built. Son started in the beauty industry at 18, right after high school in Ho Chi Minh City, and spent four years training in permanent makeup before continuing her education internationally across Russia, Germany, South Korea, and Thailand.
By the height of her career in Vietnam, she owned and operated three salons, led 19 staff members and instructors, and founded three academies of her own, training hundreds of beauty professionals before relocating to the United States in 2019 to start over in Tucson.
That experience is what shapes every course at Sonthuy Academy. You're not learning from a curriculum written by someone else, you're training to the standard she built, in the same kind of studio where she works with clients every day.
