Policies

Studio policies.

Our policies help protect your appointment time, your service quality, and the calm studio experience Sonthuy clients expect. Please review these details before booking so every appointment can begin smoothly and respectfully. These policies apply identically at both Tucson studios.

Booking & Deposits

Appointments are reserved online through Fresha for the matching Sonthuy studio. A $30 deposit is required to hold your time for all appointments, and a $50 deposit is required for all permanent makeup (PMU) appointments; the deposit is applied toward your service.

Booking by service keeps you with the right team and location from the start.

  • Card on File: A valid credit card is required at booking to secure your appointment and cover any applicable fees.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule at no cost any time more than 48 hours before your appointment. Changes made less than 48 hours before your appointment forfeit the deposit, since that time was held for you and turned away other clients.

When plans change unexpectedly, please reach out as early as you can. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Late Arrivals & No-Shows

Please arrive on time so we can give you the full, unhurried service you booked. Best practice is to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time so filling out consent forms doesn't cut into your appointment.

Arrivals more than 5–10 minutes late may need to be shortened or rescheduled.

No-shows, and late arrivals treated as a no-show, forfeit the full deposit for the appointment — $30 for standard appointments or $50 for PMU appointments.

Refunds & Service Adjustments

Because services are personalized and performed by hand, completed services are non-refundable. If you have any concern about a result, please contact us within 5 days of your appointment, we are committed to making it right with a complimentary adjustment within what is professionally possible.

Consultations & Consent

Every specialized service begins with a short, signed consent process before any work begins. In Arizona, this includes informed consent for permanent makeup, lash extensions, facials, chemical peels, waxing, and head spa services.

Certain conditions (such as pregnancy or active skin treatment near the area) mean we will ask you to wait before some services. Results and healing vary from person to person, and no specific results are guaranteed. Permanent makeup and other specialty services are reserved for clients 18 and older; minors may receive select services only with a parent or guardian present and consenting.

  • Permanent Makeup (PMU): Consent discloses the risks, benefits, alternatives, and aftercare; Arizona requires bloodborne pathogen training for PMU providers.
  • Lash Extensions / Lift & Tint: Consent outlines the potential for allergic reactions to adhesives.
  • Facials, Chemical Peels & Waxing: A health intake form covers skin conditions, medications (e.g., Accutane), and allergies.
  • Head Spa: Consent acknowledges the use of products and scalp manipulation.

For PMU in Arizona, while state-level licensing for the artist is not required, we adhere to local county health department regulations.

Aftercare & Touch-Ups

You will receive aftercare guidance for your service. Following it closely supports the best healing and longevity.

Perfecting or touch-up sessions, where offered, are scheduled once your skin or set has fully healed.

Studio Safety & Sanitation

Please let us know about allergies, sensitivities, or medical considerations when booking or at check-in, your comfort and safety guide every appointment. We are not able to provide medical advice; for medical concerns, please consult your physician.

If you're feeling unwell, we ask that you stay home and reschedule, and we may refuse service for safety or behavioral reasons.

  • Sanitation: Tools are disinfected and hands washed between clients, and lashes are dispensed properly, never returned to the jar.
  • Infection Control Posting: Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R4-10-112, Infection Control and Safety Standards, is visibly posted in studio.
  • Licensure & Chemical Storage: Professional licenses are displayed in a prominent place, and all products are properly labeled and stored, with poisonous substances marked.

Studio Comfort & Etiquette

To keep the studio calm and focused for every guest, we ask for your help with a few simple courtesies.

  • Children & Guests: We ask that you limit additional guests and arrange care for children when possible.
  • Food & Drink: To protect our hygiene standards, please keep outside food and drink to a minimum during services; water and light refreshments are offered in studio.
  • Pets: For safety and sanitation, pets cannot join you in the treatment area. Trained service animals are always welcome.
